| In January 2004, the Academy convened for the first time at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort in San Antonio. The event was a tremendous success with more than 250 of the state's top researchers, including 7 of Texas' Nobel Laureates, in attendance. Keynote speakers included Texas Instruments Chairman Tom Engibous and FDA Commissioner Dr. Mark McClellan. In addition, a special dinner during the conference paid tribute to the Nobel Laureates of Texas. |
