Nomination Guidelines and Application

The deadline for the 2009 Edith and Peter O'Donnell Awards has ended. Nomination guidelines and application informaiton for the 2010 awards will be posted in January.

Criteria for Selection:

  • Nominees must have spent the past two years ending October 31 performing research in Texas
  • Members of The Academy will not be eligible to receive the Awards in order to shift the focus to the accomplishments of up-and-coming Texas researchers.

Each Award consists of a $25,000 honorarium, a citation and inscribed statue to be presented during the Academy's Annual Conference. When an Award is given to more than one individual in a field, the honorarium will be divided evenly among the winners and each will receive a citation and statue.
